October Holidays Coming!

Thu Oct 22, 2009, 6:38 PM
  • Mood: Apprehensive
  • Listening to: Skye Sweetnam
  • Drinking: lately? lots and lots of milk.
So, for my own sanity I end up dropping a class, and then I realize, crap I still am way too busy. Midterms have already started (and more are to come-bah!), and I'm working 12 hours a week, and going to start doing research -psychology- (when i get around to deciding on what lab to work in).

Anyhow, artistically, most of my work has been doodles in my notes (sadly I realize that my notes are more sketches than words in most of my classes). However, I am working on my Halloween costume- Batgirl!- I can't wait, I haven't dressed for Halloween in ages. So, I need to finish sewing the emblem on my unitard and accessories and I'll be set. But first I need to get through the next week-including this weekend where I'll be baking cookies (for stress relief) and trying to work on cooking a nice dinner to prepare for the boyfriend's birthday on Monday. No doubt this dinner is going to end badly since I have no cooking skills what-so-ever (my group from Home Economics managed to melt a "wooden" spoon after all). But Spaghetti meat sauce from scratch shouldn't be that hard right?

This weekend is going to be so busy since I have typical homework load, and a Latin test on Monday, sewing, cooking, and laundry. Welcome to college: whatever happened to the college life where you party all weekend and have no homework and can stay up till two in the morning? Isn't that what the movies tell you college is like? I feel betrayed by American mass media.

Now if I can get over the growing pains I keep having which are horrible and perfect my medicine dosage schedule and find the balance between too much (me cleaning everything and not being able to focus but feeling GREAT) and me being a little too down life would be all good in my busy life- okay not all good but a little better. Things are going well anyways.

Currently waiting for: SNOW! I want it to snow soon so I can build a snow man and take pretty snow pictures. I know, it is only October. -sigh- And it would be cold if it snowed on Halloween and I was only wearing my costume.

Uploading!

So, I haven't uploaded anything in ages... and so, I've been looking around my computer and realized that I still have not gotten around to loading my latest artwork. Unfortunately, I have been so busy I really haven't gotten out to do photography. I have this big personal project I'm hoping to get done before school starts (which I probably won't get done in time-but I'm close) and once school starts in a few weeks life will return to its typical craziness. A 20 credit course load for Autumn quarter -sigh-

Crazy Times

Okay, so the past several months has been absolutely crazy for me. During Autumn Quarter Calculus and Chem was taking over my life and then Spring Quarter I managed to be sick for like two months (actually I am still sick) throughout Winter Quarter and just found out that it could have been mono. Anyhow, down to Florida tomorrow so I'll have Spring Break to recuperate and hopefully go out to some of the gardens and do some artistic work. Oh, and I've been doodling a lot lately and starting a comic (basically something to goof off with at work) so I'll be trying to get some of that up soon.
Man, I feel like I've been an artistic/photographic void for like forever... and looking through the deviations of those I've watched I've noticed a lot of gorgeous work...
Anyhow, hopefully Spring Quarter will be a bit kinder to me so that I can get back to going out with my camera.

The Autumn Quarter now behind me

  • Mood: Distracted
  • Listening to: whatever my iTunes mix plays
  • Reading: History of Photography notes
  • Eating: Noodles and Co.
So, I had a totally crazy quarter last quarter, and an amazing one week study abroad trip to England, but that is all behind me. Besides the fact that I am again taking 22 credit hours (though no "real" math- stats doesn't count as math in my book), things are sort of slowing down for me, so I'll try to get up my work from my trip (went out and bought a memory card reader) and start going through all the great work from those I watch and others that I haven't looked at, yet.
So, I'm promising updates soon.
Hmm... I really should continue studying for my History of Photography midterm tomorrow and work on my Latin translating and study the weird conjugations of "fero" and "volo"

My Gawd... my how time flys when your having fun..

  • Mood: High
  • Listening to: Enya and Psychology terms(had a midterm this morn)
  • Reading: Class readings, notes, The Time Machine....
  • Watching: my work being managed... barely
  • Eating: box of Starbucks espresso dark chocolate truffles
  • Drinking: Dihydrogen Monoxide
... or you are surviving 22 credit hours and ten hours of work a week through mass amounts of caffeine intake, sleep deprivation, skipping meals, and working like mad.
Well, it really isn't that bad besides Math 152 (Calculus and Analytical Geometry) which takes up like 1/4 of my out of class and work awake time. Anyhow, one last "real" math class. The weather is getting colder, and sometime in the near future I plan to head out and shooting (photos that is) and drawing more and catch up on art requests from gaiaonline.com
Just wanted to update the journal and formally announce I am alive and well... well, alive at the very least.
Enjoying the university life (besides Math 152), though.
